In July 2025, Sweden experienced a 0.6% year-on-year decrease in producer prices, which is an improvement from the 3.1% drop observed in the previous month, marking the fifth straight month of deflation. This deflation rate was the mildest since March, largely due to much smaller decreases in the prices of energy-related products, which fell by only 0.8% compared to a 9.2% decline in June, and capital goods, which saw a slight drop of 0.2% compared to a 2.4% decline. However, inflation for consumer goods took an upward turn, reaching 2.0%, up from 0.8% in June. When energy-related products are excluded, producer prices also decreased by 0.6%, representing a smaller reduction compared to the 2.3% fall recorded in June. On a month-to-month basis, the Producer Price Index (PPI) posted a 1.1% rise, marking the first monthly uptick in six months, following a 0.6% decrease in June.
