In July 2025, Greece experienced a decline in annual producer prices to 0.5%, a decrease from the 1.6% increase observed in June. This shift marked the first instance of producer deflation since December 2024. The drop was largely driven by falling energy prices, which declined by 1%, reversing the 2.9% increase seen in June. Additionally, prices for capital goods saw a reduction in growth, with rates decreasing to 2% from the previous month’s 3.1%. Prices for non-durable consumer goods held steady at 0.6%. Conversely, prices for intermediate goods rose more quickly, increasing to 2.3% from 2%, and durable consumer goods prices accelerated to 5.7% from 4.7%. On a monthly comparison, producer prices edged up by 0.2%, following a more significant rise of 1.1% in the prior month.
