27.08.202502:52:37UTC+00US Affirms Anti-Dumping Duties Against 10 Countries

The U.S. Department of Commerce has announced affirmative rulings on anti-dumping and countervailing duties concerning corrosion-resistant steel products imported from ten nations. Following thorough investigations, these rulings pertain to $2.9 billion worth of imports from Australia, Brazil, Canada, Mexico, the Netherlands, South Africa, Taiwan, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam. According to a statement from the Department, it has been concluded that these imports of corrosion-resistant steel (CORE) were subject to dumping or subsidies. This type of steel is widely utilized in the production of automobiles, appliances, and construction projects. The next step involves the International Trade Commission assessing the impact on the U.S. domestic steel industry, as indicated by the department.
