Analysts predict a downturn in both exports and imports due to increasing trade barriers and lackluster domestic demand. Furthermore, China's Consumer Price Index (CPI) and Producer Price Index (PPI) figures are forthcoming, with expectations of weak outcomes as deflation concerns remain prevalent. Within New Zealand, key local data such as the second-quarter manufacturing sales figures, July visitor arrivals, and the August business PMI are on the horizon. Despite these challenges, there is some optimism that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) might implement further rate cuts in October, influenced by mild inflation and political pressures.
