Turkey's manufacturing industry confidence index experienced a slight rise to 100.6 in August 2025 from 100.2 in July, marking the highest level recorded since May. This uptick was primarily driven by a more optimistic perspective on the current stock levels of finished goods, which increased to 102.1 from 98.7. Additionally, there was an improvement in the total volume of orders over the past three months, rising to 100.1 from 96.0, and in the overall business climate, which advanced to 91.5 from 86.3.

Despite these positive developments, there were indications of a potential slowdown in future activities. Expectations for output volume in the coming three months declined to 116.1 from 119.2. Similarly, forecasts for employment dropped to 100.2 from 102.2, and prospects for exports slightly decreased to 112.3 from 112.7. Fixed investment spending also showed signs of weakening, dropping to 102.6 from 106.0. Furthermore, the index for the current total order volume fell to 80.3 from 80.9, further sliding into contractionary territory.
